Principal's Message- October 2021

It’s hard to believe that the first quarter of the school year is already drawing to a close. The quarter wraps up on October 8th and then we take a week off for fall break.  After the distance learning and staggered schedules of last year, we are excited to have students back on campus.  Across campus we can hear their enthusiastic voices and observe them thoroughly engaged in activities. Our new Period 8 schedule appears to be a success. Friday classes run for a semester and take place from 8-11:24 a.m. During this extended period students hike with drones, design and build surfboards, practice traditional and contemporary farming methods, create video news stories, repair car dings, compose and produce music, and more. We’re off to a strong start and working hard to build a unified student body while ensuring instruction is interesting and authentic. We’re also doing everything we can to keep our campus safe and open with small class sizes, enforcement of masks, and social distancing.
