Due:
Watch ʻThe Gift,ʻ by Puanani Burgess and reflect and respond to the following three themes:
1) Your Name
Some things to consider:
Who named you? Why is it special or significant? What does it mean or translate to? What does it mean to you?
Your name is special because someone gave it to you :)
2) Your Community
Some things to consider:
What community or group do you belong to? Is it the city or neighborhood you live in? The culture or background that you belong to? The school you attend? Your ʻohana? Your friend group?
It is okay to see yourself as belonging to more than one community.
3) Your Gift
Some things to consider:
What is your gift? What makes you special? What are you good at? What is something unique about you? What is it that you contribute to your ʻohana, your friend group, relationships, community, or the world?
